Recycling Event!!!
Did you know that there is going to be a recycling event RIGHT HERE at Islander Middle School? Well, on November 4 the annual fall 2023 recycling event is happening, here, in the school parking lot! So mark your calendars!
Here’s what mercerisland.gov says you should bring.
- Tires
- propane tanks
- electrical equipment
- scrap metal
- lead acid and household battery’s
- cardboard
- Porcelain toilets and sinks
- BBQ’s
- mattresses
- appliances, refrigerators, and freezers
- lawnmowers
- TV’s, computers, and monitors
One of the cool things about this event is that you can get money for the things you give away. Better yet, they put it to a recycling plant so it can be reused, rather then thrown into the ocean, and harm our planet. So, instead of harming our planet, go to the recycling event here, at Islander middle school.
